This is a must read article for those in the Federal Records Management community and every Federal Government employee. Developments such as this should motivate us all to realize the seriousness of the responsibility we have to be stewards of a very important national asset. It is a challenging responsibility and more complex than most realize, yet I am convinced we have the technology and know how to do it effectively. The only question is will we do it, and technology is only as good as the one who drives it.

What is the concern?

No one wants to talk about Electronic Records Management. The challenge is too daunting, and no one wants to tackle the elephant. The problem is it is not going away, and ignoring the problem is not an option. It must be confronted and regardless of the nature of the challenge it is too important to think that it can not be resolved. It is with this in mind that I have created this blog as a means to collaborate on solutions to resolve the Electronic Records Management dilemma.
